District covers all of Adair County, Andrew County, Atchison County, Audrain County, Buchanan County, Caldwell County, Carroll County, Chariton County, Clark County, Clinton County, Daviess County, DeKalb County, Gentry County, Grundy County, Harrison County, Holt County, Knox County, Lewis County, Lincoln County, Linn County, Livingston County, Macon County, Marion County, Mercer County, Monroe County, Nodaway County, Pike County, Platte County, Putnam County, Ralls County, Randolph County, Ray County, Schuyler County, Scotland County, Shelby County, Sullivan County, and Worth County and part of Clay County and Jackson County, including St. Joseph, Liberty, and Kirksville and part of Kansas City and Independence.
Samuel Bruce Graves Jr. is an American politician who is currently serving in the U.S. House of Representatives for Missouri's 6th congressional district, with him being the dean of Missouri's congressional delegation upon the retirement of Senator Roy Blunt in 2023, and having held office since 2001. The aforementioned district stretches across most of the northern third of the state, with it including territory from the Kansas border to the Illinois border. The bulk of its population lives in the northern part of the Kansas City metropolitan area.
